Earlier on today, I was watching an episode of Switched at Birth, one of my all time favourite shows.
A great story line plus the awareness of sign language? Who could ask for anything better.

It got me thinking. One of the guys in the current story line - Jace - has this thing where every so often (I can't remember the time line) he learns a new thing. And what more to embrace this life than do the same!

So, for this month, I'm learning ASL.
Currently, I go to TAFE (which is like a technical college, for you guys outside of Australia) to study AUSLAN, which is Australian Sign Language. And within the course, we also learn ASL and Irish fingerspelling. But, as I was away for that time, I'm learning it now.
Also, I want to learn signs too. I've seen so many same signs, but different meanings...

So this is my monthly project! To be able to hold a VERY basic convo in ASL, while maintaining my AUSLAN. I think the biggest challenge for me, is to not get the two mixed up.
